Elise v. Bernstorff ist Professorin für „Performative Künste – schulische und außerschulische Bildung“ an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Braunschweig. Sie forschte im BMBF-Forschungsprojekt „Transkulturelle Praktiken im postmigrantischen Theater und in der Schule“ (Kunstakademie Düsseldorf) im Bereich der Schule. Ihre wissenschaftlichen Arbeits- und Forschungsschwerpunkte sind: Performativität, künstlerische Forschung, Ableismus, Transkulturalität und Neuer Materialismus. V. Bernstorff studierte Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft an der JLU Gießen und war darüber hinaus Stipendiatin des künstlerisch-wissenschaftlichen Graduiertenkollegs “Versammlungen und Partizipation: Urbane Öffentlichkeiten und Performance“ (HCU Hamburg, Forschungstheater / FUNDUS Theater, K3 Tanzplan Hamburg). Dort entwickelte sie künstlerische Forschungsprojekte mit Kindern, wie „Das jüngste Gericht“ und „Das jüngste Gericht – eine außergerichtliche Versammlung“. Sie bilden die Grundlage für ihre Doktorarbeit über die „Performance des Gerichts“, die sie 2018 verteidigt hat. 
Elise v. Bernstorff wird als vom Projekt beauftragte Mentorin Ansprechpartnerin für die Projektbeteiligten sein. Sie wird darüber hinaus zwei Workshops im Forschungsfeld Altranft durchführen und bei der Vor- und Nachbereitung unterstützen.
 


Elise v. Bernstorff is professor for „Performative Arts and Education“ at the Braunschweig University of Fine Arts. She conducted research in the BMBF research project “Transcultural Practices in Postmigrant Theatre and School” (Art Academy Düsseldorf) in the field of school. Her academic work and research interests are: Performativity, Artistic Research, Ableism, Transculturality and New Materialism. V. Bernstorff studied Applied Theatre Studies at the JLU Gießen and was furthermore a scholarship holder of the artistic-academic postgraduate program “Assemblies and Participation: Urban Publics and Performance” (HCU Hamburg, research theatre / FUNDUS Theater, K3 Tanzplan Hamburg). There she developed artistic research projects with kids, like “Das jüngste Gericht” (“The Last Judgement”) and “Das jüngste Gericht – eine außergerichtliche Versammlung” (“The Last Judgement – an extrajudical assembly”). They form the basis for her PhD about “court performances”, which she defended in 2018.
Elise v. Bernstorff will be the contact person for the project participants as a mentor commissioned by the research project. In addition, she will also conduct two workshops in the research field Altranft and support the preparation and follow-up.
